Laczák Géza

The Hungarian expression „ötvös” (artistic metalworker) refers to a unique artistic vocation that merges several different activities. We are foundry workers, smiths, silver- and gold-smiths, jewelers, enamel artists, but also painters, sculptures and designers. Naturally no one can be competent in all of these things, but if we ask an adept foundry worker for help during our work, we can see through the whole process during which our mould becomes an artistic metal piece.

As a part of our work we meet co-artists, architects, fashion designers, interior designers and it is important to be aware of their ambitions.

All these professions, with their trends and goals are in continuous development. Economics, science, technology, fashion are always changing and we want to keep up with them.
